Sorry, brain phart. I should have said "Most of them are top producers".
At any rate, I for one don't begrudge the winners list. They all deserve it.

These people are more than active in the forums and questions areas. I definately won't complain about the prizes going to the people who have been actively participating to further the project. Some have a hand in development, some are on the boinc alpha test team, some just answer questions with great answers. I think it's just coincidence that all of them are on the top 100 producer list.

lol... yeah, and one of the reasons why I dumped all the seti projects. Things were just getting too dang hot over there. Predictor was cool until they lost Michela and had all the problems with Dell. Things haven't recovered there.

Things are for the most part pretty laid back here though. I'll stick around and try to keep my head down. :^)

Yeah, I kind of did do that didn't I?
It must have been a bad day or something. I guess I just thought it was obvious to anyone who has ever even heard of BOINC that there are multiple projects to choose from.

My bad for assuming the normal Seti@home hostile military zone posture.

I've been with Boinc since.... god I can't remember it's been so long. I've got lots of patience. I can't see where I might have given the impression that I'm impatient. I merely asked (ok, begged) the project to up the quota. Suddenly I find myself in the usual "Oh you spoke! Everyone jump on him quick!" scenario.

I suddenly feel like I've been JQ'd for asking a valid question :(

Nope. there are 15 unique PC's. 10 brand new P4 3.0E's, 3 P4 2.8's and a pair of P4 2.4's. I keep a fairly close eye on duplicates

I've been involved with Boinc since berkeley's initial beta test, and I'm on the alpha team. I'm well aware of duplicates and many other issues.

If a person knows that boinc even exists, they must know that multiple projects exist. My statement stands as is.

Where was I complaining? Asking to have the limit increased is complaining?

Fair share? 15 machines running full out and not starving for work *is* my fair share. As long as what I'm returning is acurate science, I have every right to _ask_ to keep my 24 hour queue filled as long as there is work in the project queue (at the server end).

I did not demand. I did not complain. I asked (well, okay, I begged ;-) ).

Your grasp of the obvious is uncanny! If I was interested in any of the other projects I would have done that a long time ago.

I agree. Keep the work units coming.

One thing though.. Please Please please pleeeeeaaaaasssseee increase the units per day. Over the past week, I've had 3 or 4 of my crunchers returning the "No work from project, maximum daily limit exceeded" message.

I'm not kicking out a bunch of errors, they're just fast crunchers. It hurts me to see them starving for work :(
