(Message 46803)
Posted 19 May 2022 by Toby Broom Post: I use the --memory_size_mb one, since I force atlas to use 1 WU and unlimited on the web settings this tells BOINC each WU use 10 GB, since BOINC thinks its using 10 GB anyway I just let it go with 10 GB. |

No Tasks Available
(Message 46777)
Posted 15 May 2022 by Toby Broom Post: I'm getting some ATLAS at the moment, maybe the project doesn't have enough priority? ATLAS Long only works on Linux if you run native so, as a windows user you'll never get these. |

(Message 46700)
Posted 29 Apr 2022 by Toby Broom Post: Hi All, I updated to 22.04, as per normal the permission for the boinc directories are wrong. Also here there was change to the permissions with the pre-release version of BOINC so to revert you can follow these instructions: https://quchempedia.univ-angers.fr/athome/forum_thread.php?id=166&postid=1681#1681 |

Is this normal?
(Message 46641)
Posted 14 Apr 2022 by Toby Broom Post: The reporting of data in windows is due to how virtualization works in windows. For the CPU, its actually one of the VBoxHeadless.exe processes. For the ram you can see it in a tool from Sysinternals called VMMap, its sort of hidden since the virtualbox driver allocates so its allocated to the driver not to the process like it would be normally. |

(Message 46333)
Posted 24 Feb 2022 by Toby Broom Post: Thanks for looking. I'm not sure what I can do about the network, I have the fastest connection that is available to me at up to 10 GB/s, the connection from the squid server in my house is only 1 GB as is most of the computers so I could upgrade the NICs so that all are running on 10 GB all the way though. It seems sort of regular pattern ![]() |

Posted 11 Feb 2022 by Toby Broom Post: Could be I saw something like you described, like the limit on task was something like 48 or 4x number of cores, this is why I went to no limit for both as for my 56 core Xeon it didn't actually send enough to fill, but it could be doable now based on you observations. |
