Message 34401 - Posted: 19 Feb 2018, 1:35:32 UTC - in response to Message 34050.

I enjoyed reading your latest update! What amazes me is that, at least in the smallest of analogs, I believe I understand pretty much of which you spoke. Or maybe I'm just imagining things.

I've been rather fascinated with particle physics and subsequently, quantum theory, ever since I heard of the 6 names for quarks. And then folks like you all start talking about Higgs bosons, and beauty and other things hinting at theories confirmed by colorful cloud-chamber tracings that, from my perspective, have beauty more fantastic than any one particle can describe. Again, from my perspective... ;-) But I live a sheltered life.

You folks may continue using my computer (plural, on occasion). I do not have a high-tech ultra-speed Unix system presently. But I am well aware of the fact that mere drops of water, over time, carved the Grand Canyon, and sculpted amazing features over the entire planet. My hope is that, with all the BOINC(k)ers out here, we might help to fashion a better understanding of the non-linear aspects of our entire universal experience. Knowledge is, after all, the most powerful thing we have. We but need to know how to use it to unleash it's full potential.

Anyway, thank you all; keep up the good work. I, and my resources are at your service!

George G.

Sorry ... this message didn't get to where I thought it would go, and now I can't find the delete button... Kindly ignore...

I wasn't aware of any graphic feature for LHC@Home. On my BOINC dashboard, that particular button for LHC is faded, indicating it's not available ... or so I believe. It only seems active for Einstein@ and Seti@ home.
