I just attached my AMD E350 with Ubuntu 12.04 and it downloaded the sse3 binary too.

looks like the older Athlon linux PC I have is running sse2 now with expected completion in under 10 hrs, a vast improvement over the 30+ before

pni and sse3 variants have also been assigned for Windows PCs running AMD and Intel.

pni image seems to only run as fast as sse2 on phenom II on first observation.

The system completed the sse3 WU valid and at competitive speed.
