Hi Alex, Neasan,

could you pls. have a look at wuid=1711094.
I wonder if this is ok, all 5 results were received, but it is still pending.
May this be because all 5 claimed 0.0 (which is imho no wonder for max 1.67 seconds computing)?

last but not least - many thanks to you to get lhc alive again!

Interestingly strange. If the results don't match, the validate state would be "no consensus yet". If some of the results are invalid, the validate state would be "invalid". In both cases, an extra replica would have been sent. None of this happened; validate state is "initial" which I think means the validator hasn't even looked at the results yet. Server status doesn't show any big validation backlog

If you look at the result for one of the computers, you will see
Claimed credit 0.00203023874306043

It means that Sixtrack was crunching a work unit which had the particles crash into the wall on startup.

I'm not the LHC Alex. Just a number cruncher like everyone else here.

So, this was a normal exit for a model with a bad cofiguration? Now it makes sense.
Cyber particles crash into cyber walls and the cyber system shuts down -- without any smoke.

:-) its better to have cyber particles crash into the cyber walls then to have actual particles crash into actual walls. LoL. thats what our contribution/bit to science is ;-) the alignment of the magnets. i hope our cyber systems are doing their honest best ;-) other wise the actual world will go up in smoke.:-(

Masud.

I got 58 of those guys (0.00 claimed on pending credit page, precise claim nonzero but zero when rounded to two decimal places) hanging around, the oldest from Feb 6 2007.
Looks to me like the validator doesn´t touch them because the claimed credit is too small but they are not thrown away/purged by whatever process has that task because they are nonzero.
May be a case of unsynchronized threshold values or something like that.
Perhaps Neasan or Alex could have a look at that if they have the time because those WUs probably clutter up the server unnecessarily ;-)

Actually, you're claiming, from the top one to the bottom one, 0.00233318497995638, 0.00408711093157513 and 0.00235602975402844 credit.

You had three very fast tasks, of less than a second to slightly over a second.
If you check the workunit IDs, you see that everyone claimed so little credit for those tasks.

Blah... Both of you are "accurate", just you were more "precise".

At any rate, perhaps the recent issuing of results (that I missed) means that the project staff is back from whatever they were dealing with and can now perhaps address questions on this?

Oy Vey!!

All I seem to get is these occasional successful zero credit wu's and only a couple a month.

The only pc that got 2 credits is one I run that is about 800 miles away.

Yet my dual core machine never gets more than 2 a month at best.

Makes no sense at all.

Great sharing these with new members.......but come on now......give us original members something since I run all of my machines 24/7 since the beginning!

And I'm not one that runs all 4 million projects at the same time either.

Bah!

[edit]
Well I just finished and turned in those 2 and actually got 2 more....... .

Well I have been getting work on all the machines lately but I still have these 66 0.00 units in my pending file.

I've had this full page of them for a long time now.

I wonder if they will ever disappear.......no big deal but it does make the other units look like they are lost in a lost world

"let 0.00xx workunits be deleted and never brought to mind,
May Neasan and Alex find the time, in these days of Auld Lang Syne!" :)
