"Parts of the database had chrashed due to a power failure in the computer centre. They are now back up and running. "
This one?

They say they are up and running, but:
"Up, out of work
33008 workunits in progress
42 concurrent connections"

What does out of work means? And how long this out-of-work period is? This was my question.

Another study similar to the last one will be launched within the next couple of days.

Have you read this under the other news? :o

hi,

This project is *often* out of work - like maybe more than half the time. If you share your resources between this project and another one you can do useful work here (when available) and go onto 100% for the other project when this one is down.

If that suggestion also annoys you, you need to look for a different project that better suits your needs. I do not say that to be rude, but so that you can be happy while donating your cpu time.

The beam physicists like to analyse one batch of results before giving out new work based on that analysis, and that means that keeping a continuous supply of work would not serve their needs properly.

Thank god it is out of work. Now i can finally do work on Ufluids. LHC is my main project so it is my number one pritory. I been in a race trying to get the highest RAC has possible. I couldn't take fighting people with better pcs and farms anymore. To crazy. Now i can relax and crunch for Ufluids. I hope LHC release their work in two weeks or so and that Ufluids remove their bugs.
